Elizabeth’s Path To Qi Gong

Elizabeth Bord is a certified Qi Gong instructor with a lifelong dedication to supporting health, healing, and emotional well-being. Her journey began in her twenties when she became a qualified cardiac nurse. Over the course of her medical career, Elizabeth cared for patients facing a wide range of physical and emotional challenges, and it was during these years that she came to understand something deeply important: stress plays a significant role in almost every area of health.

Again and again, she witnessed how the mind, breath, and emotional state could influence the body — sometimes even more profoundly than medication alone. This realization guided Elizabeth to expand her approach to healing beyond traditional clinical treatment.

She first became certified as a Mindfulness Meditation Instructor, helping patients and individuals learn how to calm the mind, soften anxiety, and cultivate inner resilience. The results she saw were transformative. As her students began to breathe more fully and release stress, their bodies responded with greater ease and healing.

Drawing from years of rehabilitative exercise experience and her growing knowledge of mindful awareness, Elizabeth chose to deepen her path by becoming a Qi Gong teacher. For her, Qi Gong is the practice where all aspects of healing meet — the body, the breath, the energy system, and the heart. It gently restores strength, improves mobility, supports emotional balance, and nurtures peace from within.

At 71, Elizabeth brings her students not only knowledge, but lived wisdom, compassion, and an encouraging presence. Her teaching is grounded, intuitive, and deeply supportive — creating a space where each person feels safe to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover their own natural balance.

She believes that wellness is not about striving — it is about harmonizing.

The Practice Explained

1. Qi Gong Calms the Nervous System

Qi Gong uses slow breathing and gentle, flowing movements to shift the body out of stress mode and into a state of calm. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping reduce anxiety, lower tension, and support emotional balance.

2. Qi Gong Improves Circulation and Joint Mobility

The movements are soft, intentional, and non-straining, making Qi Gong accessible for all ages. It helps increase blood flow, lubricate the joints, and encourage healthy movement patterns — supporting balance, posture, flexibility, and ease in daily life.

3. Qi Gong Strengthens the Connection Between Body & Mind

Through mindful movement and breath awareness, Qi Gong teaches you to listen to your body. Over time, this deepens presence, clarity, and self-understanding—helping you respond to life with more grounded confidence and less stress.
